Welcome To Crooked Run Stables

We are a new facility opening to the public in 2007 located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Our goal is to provide an equine facility that is friendly to both the pleasure riders as well as the sport horse enthusiasts. The Shenandoah Valley is rich with heritage and amazing vista's, what better place to enjoy those but on the back of your horse. We want to make Crooked Run a place you can enjoy both the landscape, your horse, and the people.

We are currently "under construction" with the combining of two older farms into one totaling 230 acres both pastured and wooded. We have two new barns and one bank barn that is being renovated to give us a total of 13 stalls. We will be renovating an old log home, circa 1827, that will become the show office and boarders lounge. The boarders lounge will consist of a sofa, TV with DVD player for viewing, refrigerator, and fireplace. Our goal is to provide a place you can relax after enjoying a great day with your horse and converse with others.

We have plans for a cross country course that should consist of about 15 obstacles to get us started. Our trail system will also consist of several different obstacles that can be used to train for judged trail rides. Our plans are to become an event center holding horse trials, pony club shows, dressage shows, judged trail rides, overnight camping rides and clinics.
